The look is amazing. The more traditional thing to do is have sheer curtain behind a set of heavy curtains. Sheer fabrics come in all sorts of designs from plain, textured, patterned or even embroidered.

Block out

Block out curtains will provide the most insulating properties of all window furnishings. Curtains keep the heat out, the warmth in and help us to stay cool in summer. Block out curtains provide great acoustic properties for a home theatre, or if you have the noise of road traffic, block out curtains will help reduce the sound. Decorative

Swags and tails would be the most traditional and decorative of all curtains, providing an elegant and sophisticated look to a room. Swags and tails can be attached to a headboard or you could have them sitting in front of a pelmet for a more modern look. You could also choose to have pole swags, where you see the decorative rod peeping through the swags. For an even more decorative option you could add fringing or beading. You can also pick a contrasting fabric for me to line the tails in, which also looks nice. Your fabric choice is unlimited, I can help you design a look suitable to your home.
